Synopsis

Noah Baumbach, known as writer, director and actor, continues his co-operation with the actress Greta Gerwig. Their first work, Greenberg is followed by the jointly written script of Frances Ha. Gerwig also plays the leading role, portraying a sweet fool. The girl works for a dance company, is penniless and moves form one rent to the other. She has an intimate relationship with a girl, Sophie, but it all ends with Sophie moving in with her boyfriend. From that on, everything Frances does ends with catastrophe. Should it be her career, her private life or even a trivial event – truths of life are everywhere.
